The cheapest way to call Malaysia (VoIP)
What is VoIP
Voice over Internet Protocol — VoIP — is a new way to make and receive telephone calls using a broadband Internet connection rather than a regular phone line. VoIP converts your phone call — actually, the voice signal from your phone — into a digital signal that travels through the Internet to the person you are calling. If you are calling a plain old telephone number, the signal is converted back at the other end. If you're comfortable with new technology, you may be interested in learning more about VoIP.

Computer-to-computer – This is certainly the easiest way to use VoIP. You don't even have to pay for long-distance calls. There are several companies offering free or very low-cost software that you can use for this type of VoIP. All you need is the software, a microphone, speakers, a sound card and an Internet connection, preferably a fast one like you would get through a cable or DSL modem. Except for your normal monthly ISP fee, there is usually no charge for computer-to-computer calls, no matter the distance.
Computer-to-phone- Same description as above but you need special software like VoiPStunt or Skype. Here I list 2 most easier way for the computer-to-phone VoIP service provider. This two softphone require no additional hardware other than as stated above.
- Skype

Skype was invented by the KaZaa folks. To use it is simple as ABC. Install the software and you can add friends just like you use the YM or MSN mesennger. To make VoIP call, you should have sufficient amount. What make it easier is the account update feature that allow credit card user, EC Karte user even PayPal and Moneybookers users to buy credit.
- VoipStunt

I have used VoIP for nearly a year by now. The service is getting better day by day since the first time I used it last year. The function is same like skype, but the different is that VoipStunt can forward you phone call to enable you to talk using your cell phone or home telefon. For example in my case here in Germany. It costs me 4 cents/min to call from Germany to Malaysia (Mobile Phone) using the VoiPstunt itself. But with some Calling Cards like Globaltel, it is cheaper to call it from your Mobile Phone with Homezone. Using call forwarding feature (Direct callback Nr.), I first call the CAlling Card (Globaltel) operator using Voipstunt, then the VoipStunt will forward the call to my homezone mobile number. Now I can enter the Calling Cards password and enjoy noch cheaperer call to Malaysia. (2,5 cents/min).See pictures below.
