I have written an entry about this topic years ago. (Yap in 2005) but to no avail, I seldom practice it. But after some time, I start to realize that this blog should be optimized for more money!!!

So i start wondering and still clueless when it comes to the mental state of a person clicking on adsense ads.

General off the top of my head possibilities:

1- Compelling on topic or relevant supplemental information
2- They don’t know it’s an ad (well “blended”)
3- They know it’s an ad but want to get the hell out (MFA)
4- Just boredom

I dont know how many of you visit iznan.com regularly. But nevermind..as long as I can have my own domain. Who knows that someone with a name similar like mine in the future want to buy this domain?

Ok today I will share with you how I place both of the ads on the top of the blog. You can see there are three medium rectangle ads block currently reside on that place.

First get three different medium rectangle ads. Here I have Google Adsense, Widgetbucks and Nuffnang. All three have about the same ads size 300×250.

In the header.php (Presentation-Theme Editor – header.php) place the ads code together with the div id and div class like what I did. Refer to the image.

And finally add the CSS code for all the div in the themes stylesheet document.Refer to the code.

3. Niche Many people talk about niche. But many of them dont know how to tackle an up to date or relevant niche. An up to date niche will contribute to a high potential CPM or CPC (refer here for more info about CPC and CPM.)

Hence high potential niche depends on:

1. Current hot issue (global climate, gulf crisis, visit Malaysia 2007 etc)

2. Your target group of your site visitors (students, engineers, widow etc etc)

3. Continuous interesting issue (sex and health, how to etc)

So what and which niche suit your website and your ability? You must maintain the originality of your website as many as you can. Use all the sources and informations that you read, hear and smell from the medias and start build your monetize website!

Within 3 months since the first payment of my Adsense, my Adsense total earning is now moving faster than before. After joining the Adsense programm in July 2006, I manage to get my first 100USD within 4 months that is in November 06. Now per month I manage to get 40-50 USD, means that the cycle reduce.

I placed my Adsense code in two websites that have high potential niche in the net. (I will explain later) . The first website I use CMS script and  the second one is runnning with free hosting ie. blogspot.com 

What I can say the strategies and SEO technique are starting to show a good result.

So the equation is like this. If two websites with high potential niche can contribute at the moment averagely 45 USD per month, how about if I have another two? It could be that every month I can get extra income of 100 USD or more. Instead I just want to fill my free time and learn soemthing new.

• Building website: 3 days
• Gather informations: 4 days
• Setup the site: 1 day
• Place the Adsense code: less than 5 minutes!

The installation is easy. Just unzip the folder that you downloaded and copy all the files into your wp-content/plugins folder. As usual go to your Admin-Plugins and activate the Plugins. Now it is ready to use. The Plugins will automatically generate the Sitemap for your blog and place it in the root or folder where you install your WP blog. Easy aint it?
