Notebook : Samsung X20
Problem : White area on the lcd screen turn to cyan or green in color
Cause : VGA cable is not properly fitted
Solution : Before you start, make sure unplug power cable and remove the battery.
1. Unscrew three screw label with KBD on the bottom of the notebook/laptop. Find three small slot underneath your keyboard. They are located on the left, middle and right of the spacebar button. Push it towards the screen. Now you can remove your keyboard.
2. Find the VGA cable. It is the biggest cable when you first see what underneath your keyboard. Push it slowly into the slot. If required replace the selophentape with the new one, in order to make the cable firm and stay remain in its slot.
3. Switch on the laptop. Hope this will help….bye2

After a great five years of service, finally my Samsung X20 notebook make his first problem due to my carelessness……the screen is not working anymore…
So I need to replace it but at the moment dont have enough budget. One lcd screen cost about RM700 original.
I am thinking of converting the notebook as desktop by using a flat screen tft monitor. It will cost me only RM400 for an A Brand TFT monitor, but I will not be able to carry my laptop anymore…..
But the tutorial is wonderful. You can follow the tutorial on how to replace your laptop screen lcd here

After following all the tutorial, I have found a very great lesson. Troubleshooting………I know my notebook very well. It had been for many times fall down but nothings happen until yesterday.
What I did?
I open the lcd and remove it from the casing. Attached it back carefully. Surprise…the lcd is working again. I suspect it is the cable/chip on the inverter which cause me the problem……
So alhamdulillah!!
